chilliocosm – unorthodox

Being progressive is fundamental if you want to make it through to the next stage in a difficult to break industry. This industry can be fruitful, but it can also make you feel failure at a razor-light pace.

Chillicosm is a band taking their stance on the pop punk’s unsteady ship, but they have promise and the persistence to make it. Their thematic songs are catchy, and the song structure has been painstakingly bolstered, while every lyric is heavy-hearted.

Pop punk churns out so much that it’s hard to assess if a band is good enough to make it or not. Not every band will guide themselves through the bustle to the promised land of fame and gratification. The bands that have made it have had luck on their side. There’s no doubting that, and there’s been a few which have had their first record approved worldwide with undeniable acclaim.

Green Day and Blink 182, for instance, have been the forefathers of this genre for many years, even when they’ve released under par records. Chilliocosm could be the next big thing, if they can withstand discouraging moments. Their sound has the makings of something special and their album unorthodox blasts the cobwebs of old. 10 songs make up the record and they are all interwoven.

Expectations is a pop punk thriller. It begins with infectious guitar riffs, and the vocals signify a pop punk sound. It is a gratifying start. Unlock is faster and more aggressive. The band drift into daydreams here and the pop punk sounds runs through track smoothly. It then gets a lot louder. With The Wolves blasts open, the floodgates in terms of sound. The frantic pace is thrilling, and the vocals do the song justice. This track even has elements of different styles.

Chilliocosm is a band ready to take their music to the echelons of pop punk. Their abilities shine here.
